The fastest and most effective way to "plug in" at City Church Melissa is to serve. Voluntarily giving our time and talents is an essential part of who we are at City Church Melissa. We foster deep relationships, one neighborhood at a time, with community gatherings, groups, classes, family events, and essential local outreach. It is how we live our vision of being a Gospel-centered church “For the City.”
Whether on Sunday morning, Wednesday night, or any other time City Church meets, volunteers are needed. It takes a community of people to help with parking, set up and tear down, welcome visitors, lead kids through worship, and mentor students, among many other roles.
By serving in these areas, we demonstrate our love for one another.
As we witness to God's goodness outside of church gatherings, we serve others in our homes and at our jobs. We also find that other ministries and nonprofit organizations need our service to combat the effects of sin.
Locally, we serve our community by pouring into Melissa ISD, through hospitality and mercy ministries, and through ongoing support for organizations such as Melissa Community Outreach.

SERVICE AREAS
MCO is a local food pantry, providing the bare necessities to vulnerable members of our community. We hope to not only meet the communities’ physical needs through the existing food pantry ministry, but also to provide family events, educational classes, and a youth program to help the community thrive as we share the hope of the Gospel of Christ. We are excited by the ways God has already used MCO, and we are eager to see all the ways He will further use this ministry to bless the community of Melissa in the coming days.
